UNDEAD GIRL GANG x PRACTICAL MAGIC: Parker didn’t think she inherited her family’s ink magic—until she tattoos her best friend, Charlotte, and foresees her imminent funeral. Powerless to stop Charlotte’s death, Parker turns to forbidden magic to resurrect her. But one wrong step in the blood-thirsty spell means unleashing an ink demon and damning both their souls for eternity.

Excerpt:

In my family, fate isn’t etched in stone; it’s inked in skin.

Mom skillfully maneuvered the needles in and out as she tattooed her client. Her vision of his future widened her eyes then dimmed them a milky gray. When I was little, I’d copy her tattoos in my sketchbook. Let my eyes go hazy. Pretend I was an ink witch, too. But I couldn’t glimpse his fate, just his questionable ink selection. Barbed wire on his bicep? Charlotte would call him a walking cliché.

As if summoned by my thoughts, my best friend breezed through the door, bringing with her a gush of sticky summer heat. The humidity warred with the buzzing AC unit. Her sun-streaked hair swung behind her, drawing the attention of Mom’s client, who should keep his ogling to himself because ew, he was like thirty years old.

“Ready, my little fortune teller?” Charlotte dug her hands into her hips, her tank top reading, Underestimate me: That’ll be fun, bunching at her sides.

I rolled my eyes. That nickname. If the magic was in me, it would have shown up by now. “Ready for what?”

“To give me my first tattoo, obviously.”

“Parker’s still seventeen and unlicensed.” Mom’s eyes had returned to their usual cutting glare—vision completed, tattoo still underway. “And you’re still seventeen for three more days.”

“I’d never dream of asking Parker to break the law.” Charlotte’s smile was a devilish thing.
