KILLING EVE X THRONE OF GLASS

After a performer dies during a key political summit, two detectives must solve the murder to prevent a war.

Darsy knows her former lover—the same woman responsible for her previous partner's execution—is involved. She has to protect her new partner Ansel from the same fate while resisting the temptations of the guileful murder suspect, Khleo.

If rookie Ansel fails to conquer his own arrogance and the disgrace that compelled him to join the force, he’ll get himself and Darsy killed—or worse, discharged.

Khleo thought she’d do anything to fulfill her dream of becoming a reporter, until her seduction gambit results in feelings for Darsy that could cost her everything.

Excerpt:

Darsy Yeskova stood on a rock ledge jutting perilously out from the mountainside.

Her clothes reeked of sweet pine smoke and did little to protect against the freezing winds howling down the peaks. Though she would have liked to take refuge in the boulders with Ansel until the morning thawed out, every time she retreated for warmth, the carnage drew her back.

In the valley below, salt flats stretched into the dusty hills of the opposing mountain range. The only blemish on its opaline surface was the smoldering remains of Stabnya Province.

Darsy should have known better.

She’d awoken that morning to screams and smoke, but in the haste of evacuation, hadn’t stopped to investigate. Now, she recognized her mistake.

A familiar odor had infused with the smoke. Turpentine. The fire had been intentional, and a message. A threat, for her and Ansel.

He hadn’t said a word, but she knew what her partner was thinking.

“You think I’m being paranoid,” she called over her shoulder.

“I don’t think you’re being paranoid,” Ansel shouted. “That would imply it’s a temporary condition.”
