Pitch:

No matter how many times Adeline kills her sister, the bitch won’t stay dead. But everyone Adeline conjures turns against her—even the Prince Charming husband she thought she needed. Now, on an anniversary cruise intended to save her marriage, Adeline is trapped with her most dangerous creations: an unkillable sister hell-bent on destroying her life, and a handsome stranger with the key to saving it.

Excerpt:

Tonight, I would kill my sister for the third time.

I walked into the Roasted Beanery, a claustrophobic cafe packed tight with locals. She sat at the farthest table on that Saturday night, waiting for me, her bright red sweater a beacon in a sea of coffee-scented beige. My sister had ruined my life. Ending hers would fix everything.

I clutched my purse, and the straps dug deep into my shoulder. The gun inside was loaded, heavy, and the only thing keeping my anxiety in check.

With a shaky breath, I pushed through the arms of strangers. My oversized sunglasses slipped to the edge of my nose, but I didn’t dare take them off. Someone would recognize me.

Halfway in, I brushed against a book display stocked with my sister’s latest tell-all. I looked up, and my chest froze at the sight of my own face.

The blown-up poster hung above the rack of hardcovers, giving everyone my patented shove-that-camera-up-your-ass scowl. I grabbed a copy of Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth—The true story of Adeline Graves and slapped it against my hip. Yet another bestseller exposing secrets. Secrets I’d shared with my sister after I died and came back to life at eight years old.

“God damn it.”

I bulldozed through the crowd and slammed the hardcover on the table.
